The tomb of the famous boy pharoah will be closed in October according to the Egyptian Antiquities Ministry.

The tomb is being closed so that important¬†restoration work can be carried out, including putting in a new floor for the tomb.¬†“King Tutankhamen’s mummy will be transferred to a secondary tomb chamber to protect it,” ministry official Mohamed Afifi said. At this point the expected duration of the work is uncertain as is the reopening date for the tomb.
