History Bytes is run by two educators Maxx and Rod. Rod taught in the NSW secondary education system system teaching students about the past. Maxx taught at an Australian university specialising in pre-gunpowder military history , but also teaching Roman, Bronze age, Greek and ‘Barbarian’ history.
History Bytes is a way for us to share our love of all things history with a wider audience. In addition to this website/blog we are currently working on a number of courses that we plan on publishing on UDEMY, we will announce their release/s as they occur.

Thanks so much for your post on Geoff Adams, I only learned from another student at Utas about Geoff’s death this Friday frankly it wasn’t a great moment for either of us, its disappointing that the Uni couldn’t take a slightly braver approach at the time and make at least a general statement rather than nothing.
If we can’t cope with the truth in the present it hardly encourages anyone to worry about the past.
