Over 250 Greek artefacts dating from the 2nd to the 5th Centuries BC were discovered during a raid for illegal weapons near the Sicilian city of Enna.

The artefacts were stored in cardboard boxes and plastic containers, salt crusting on some of the items suggests that they were recovered from the sea. The artefacts were most likely headed to the black market for sale, but have now been handed over to the cultural authority in Enna.
