With the destruction of sites in the Middle East by ISIS digital preservation of archaeological sites has again become a point of discussion.
There are potentially a range of different approaches that can be taken that all fall into the category of VR, Here is one example of a possible future direction of VR in archaeology using the HTC Vive.
