Honorius as he is better known was the younger son of Theodosius I and his first wife. Honorius was made a consul at the age of two and became the western Roman emperor at ten years old. Considered one of the worst Roman emperors he was supported by the general Stilicho who added stability to Honorius’ reign until his execution. Rome was sacked for the first time in 800 years under Honorius.
