In an innovative new program Seljord folk high school in Telemark Norway gives students the opportunity to learn viking skills and crafts.

The college located 90 miles west of Oslo, will teach students a number of traditional Viking skills such as sword forging, roof thatching, jewelry making and bread baking. The course involves a one-year residential stay at the college which focuses on life skills rather than academic skills.
